A teenage boy is kidnapped. Reacher is seen working with the DEA to bring down the boy’s father, who is believed to be drug kingpin. Reacher happens to come face-to-face with his old adversary. He becomes obsessed with revenge. And he infiltrates a crime organization to walk the extra mile to seek vengeance.
The gory twists and turns in this book make it a very gripping read. The skillful blend of sex, violence, sadism, weaponry, spies, smuggling, revenge, deception, suspense and nonstop action, will keep you glued till the very end. Hide details

Persuader is a thriller written by Lee Child starring Jack Reacher. Jack is the bookish and perhaps more
sophisticated version of James Bond. A former military officer, he is a champion of the rights of those
wronged and has a larger than life image. He can fight, swim, shoot, use a knife, and generally defend
himself in any adverse situation.

The novel begins with a bang as Reacher rescues a 20 year old kid from a kidnapping, taking down a cop
in the process. The kid turns out to be the son of Zachary Beck, a reclusive tycoon suspected to be a drug
kingpin, and we learn that the kidnapping was but a staged scenario. Things get suspenseful as Reacher
strives to follow the alleged link between Beck and Quinn, a former traitor of the Army Intelligence
whom he supposedly eliminated a decade ago. However, things take an unexpected turn as he spots
Quinn at a concert in Boston. Now, Reacher has a double task at hand -- infiltrate an organized crime
structure and rescue one of the Federal agents in the process. Will he be able to accomplish his mission?
Only time will tell!

The tension builds up at a nerve-racking pace and the several plot twists set the story on fire. The
Author doesn’t give much away till the very end and Reacher’s narration is surely mind-boggling!
Moreover, it’s for the very first time that the Author has revealed some vulnerability in our impregnable
protagonist (which makes him all the more human). Loaded with thrill, suspense, action and adventure,
The Persuader is surely irresistible. Though a bit low on the emotional segment, highly recommended! Hide details
