Jack Reacher is in Texas. At a local bar he is provoked by a police officer and he ends up thrashing the cop. The next day, when the officer and his colleagues turn up to arrest him, Jack decides to leave town. As he hitches a ride with a Californian of Mexican heritage, Carmen Greer they chat up and Carmen persuades him to help her kill her tax-evading husband Sloop who was to be released from prison soon, and she feared that he would beat her up. Reacher, after a lot of contemplation, agrees.
There is a lot of action and thrill in this series of Jack Reacher’s tale. Carmen is accused of killing her husband while she actually is innocent. Carmen’s daughter, Ellie, gets kidnapped and Reacher stands out as the savior of the hour.
A fantastic read, this book keeps the reader on his seat all throughout. A very intriguing book. Must Read. Hide details
