The book is impressive. I love the Amritsar created by Rupa Bajwa. The small shops, the by lanes, the mithai ki dukan, the love for food, shopping, saris, clothes and jew.. More details The book is impressive. I love the Amritsar created by Rupa Bajwa. The small shops, the by lanes, the mithai ki dukan, the love for food, shopping, saris, clothes and jewellery. Also Ramchand is a very well etched character. The experience he gathers in selling saris and how he judges women is enlightening. But I felt a little sad for him when he matures and understands that life is not what meets the eye. A fun book and a complete must read, nevertheless. Hide details
