Major reason for misuse of our democracy is clause of majority figure support of house. instead, the clause should be majority of proper reasons & members who cannot give the same, their vote be disregarded. Dispute about proper reasons be decided by an independent Tribunal

Ten ideas for the next twenty years of India and was tickled enough to bring out my own list, but after completion I realised that mine were not ‘ideas’ but what I thought were catalysts for change. So instead of submitting the list to the contest, I have posted it here. Feel free to comment, debate and share your ideas.
1. Pass the Lokpal Bill
2. Treat eve-teasing as a criminal offence awarded with heavy fine or imprisonment
3. Make rape and marital rape non-bailable offences awarded with life imprisonment and revealing a rape victim’s identity a criminal offence
4. Make sex-education compulsory in all schools
5. Make it impossible for a candidate with criminal records to contest elections and set a minimum educational bar of a graduate degree to contest state and national assemblies
6. Introduce a benefit scheme for small-time farmers and BPL families providing them a (realistic) monthly package of money/ration and free education for the children
7. Implement a ‘One child only’ rule
8. Build world-class training facilities for rural, athletic and national sports (basically all other sports side-lined by cricket) in every district
9. Build enough public toilets or provide portable loos and make public-urination and littering an offence that will be heavily fined
10. Metro links in all Tier 1 cities, High speed rails connecting the country with on-board loos that do not open on to the tracks

@Deepika: Our moderators felt you were real close to making it to the Top 10. We had initially asked for 250 characters or less but it seems Young India wanted to say more. We should have modified that rule. Anyways...looks like some of our Winners have not yet claimed their prizes ....a few more days to it would be a good time to send us your details as mentioned above. No guarantees but then you never know :)

@Ashuag: We appreciate your participation but considering you too seemed to have had a tough time giving us your thoughts in 250 characters or less , we hope you can understand why we had to overlook this rule.
Wed,Aug 22nd 2012 8:28 AM
nicely put!
i couldn't have said it better!
Sat,Aug 18th 2012 5:12 AM
Oh! But for sure this contest and title atleast demands sincerity and diligence. Its unfair to break the rules and appreciate the same on a contest questioning "WHAT YOUNG INDIA WANTS"..??????????? Funny.!
Sat,Aug 18th 2012 4:39 AM
this is not the first time they selected as winners those people who broke word limit..
its sad when we take so much pains to summarize our answers, try not to say everything but just important things and they select someone who didn't even follow rules.. :/
again... just a contest :)
Sat,Aug 18th 2012 4:21 AM
Congrats Winners..

Contest Terms:
"Only those comments less than 250 characters will be considered."

People who have commented with more than 250 characters are also elected as winners. Quite unfair.!!!!!!!!!! Cool.! Just a contest.
Fri,Aug 17th 2012 1:19 PM
Young India wants just change of mindset and most important HONESTY and DILIGENCE.
We have all qualities within us. We are hardworking, intelligent, gifted, and we have plenty of resources in our country itself.
What we need first of all is youth stepping into politics, with a clear mindset of removing all the follies form it and making it clear that politics and corruption are two different words. If there is no corruption, there will be enough resources in terms of money and power that no other nation in the whole world and compete against us.
We also need people to understand that you have to take pioneering steps if you want something good to happen. People always say that 'What can i do alone?' this is bullshit. You have to set examples so that others will follow it and a path will be laid for others.
If just this simple thing is understood by us, then all the other things will automatically fall into place. Health facilities, education, jobs, gold medals in Olympics, world championship in hockey, India becoming a superpower, no terrorism and many more things will not be dream anymore...
Mon,Aug 13th 2012 1:53 PM
Young India means no age bar,no caste, equal rights.Corruption free n excelling in each aspects like sports, finance, security. We are already good in democracy. We can improve agriculture as well as industrial sector, bridge d gap between poor n rich n become Superpower by 2020.
Mon,Aug 13th 2012 12:24 PM
Young India wants Freedom !!! from himself...when he sees itself in front of mirror seen multiple personality...needs freedom from them & wants to be Identical....
Mon,Aug 13th 2012 9:38 AM
Young India want to be an free India in all the way like Corruption,(India badalaga rang aha raha hai....)This is a slow process it has to gear up & move on this.Young is the current life of India. If this not stable then all will fall down it should not be happen.
Mon,Aug 13th 2012 1:06 AM
As a Young Indian, I believe that our country has the potential to be amongst the top countries of the world, however there are various issues in our country which is indirectly related to the system of India, main reason again takes us to the corruption in the country and would just wait for the current young generation to take over the charge once the current term of leaders gets over.
Sun,Aug 12th 2012 7:10 AM
young india wants to do everything that makes india at the top of world...
Sat,Aug 11th 2012 3:35 PM
What young India wants is the right to do what WE believe in! Echo the words of US and WE instead of I and me...WE want our country in a status which makes others raise their heads. WE want a country where our age old traditions and changing modernization go hand in hand. WE want to touch the skies and yet hold to the ground,be calm while taking decisions and aggressive when threatened...more than what WE want, what really matters is how WE want it to be done and what WE do to achieve it!That's where the true spirit of young India lies and WE want this spirit to move in the heart of each and every young Indian who will shape the look of the world on this country!
Sat,Aug 11th 2012 8:27 AM
if(With the prevailing conditions), then{
YOUNG INDIA wants money (that's why they work)
happiness (that's why they live);
YOUNG INDIA wants change in prevailing conditions (which is again a book by itself);
(Note: NEEDS are different from WANTS)
Fri,Aug 10th 2012 4:02 PM
For a better India, we should be more strict in abiding by the rules and to be able to see that our personal good depends also in the greater good of the country.
Fri,Aug 10th 2012 3:33 PM
'WHAT YOUNG INDIA WANTS' is freedom i.e., for youth,, mainly because of the rules in INDIA!! We just want freedom,, many will think what freedom,, freedom to do anything they want to do ,, which is useful!!!! they we can see our INDIA go forward a milion times better than any other country in this universe!! because the INDIA's future is in our (YOUNG INDIANS) hands, giv it,, we shall prove it!!
Fri,Aug 10th 2012 2:03 PM
Young INDIA wants love , care , attention, their ideas to be welcomed, an environment where they can explore all their abilities, a chance by which they can prove themselves, employment. Youth is now quite intelligent, responsible, so wanna go in a way they wanna be ,but a need of a thums up when they look back.
Fri,Aug 10th 2012 1:38 PM
Being an infinite list, Young India wants, crime free place to live in, better for women in all aspects. We want just a mixture of spirituality and practicality well balanced and always our human values ahead of everything.
Fri,Aug 10th 2012 12:51 PM
Young INDIA is bright, energetic and keen do make a mark in the universe. What it needs however is the right platform. By platform here i mean the basal background right at the start. As of this moment CORRUPTION tops the list and thus there is the need to kill everything that sustains it, this very moment. The next in the list has been poverty and unemployment since a hundred years. This is a vicious cycle and the answer to it is “Quality Education”. India is proud to be a nation being an exemplary mark of "unity in diversity" but is there truly a unity in everything we do? Certainly not, there is a diversity right at step 1, which is school. We have state board, followed by CBSE and now even international schools. How and why does this system exist? We have a limited number of very good universities and institutes compared to the west and around a 50 million youth who try hard to get into these and even die if fail. One nation and one education system it has to be. The standard of government schools should be as good as private schools. If you sow the seeds right, you shall have the fruit. Young India needs equality and quality education to be the nation it used be.

india has enormous power in the form of its youth brigade. if they are let free to find new avenues, their potential is harnessed and true efforts are rewarded and awarded with congenial environment i.e. transparent governance and supportive administration. Respect of merit and equal and universal opportunity to attain merit. That is what young India wants.
Fri,Aug 10th 2012 9:06 AM
Young India only wants what is written in the Preamble of The Constitution Of India.
Thu,Aug 9th 2012 9:23 AM
today young india wants that everything that our leaders had desired nearly 100 years ago including others. they want a developed india where corruption does not stand a chance. they want all those basic stuff of which they are worth. they want a better living condition including an assurance of their bright future. they wantindia to be modern without forgetting its own tradition and culture.

India is developing. It has achieved glorious success in every field. Even the youngsters in London Olympics have brought laurels to India but as Elizabeth Bowen said if you look at life one way, there is always cause for alarm. In a country where every third youngster commits suicide, die in accidents due to excessive drinking....where political parties fight like dogs and bring no good, gangsters become our leaders and still people are made to vote on gunpoint.....young India wants the end to all these kind of roadblock to India’s path of success. Young India demands a perfect country so that they can proudly acclaim to the world that they are Indians and as the famous dialogue in Rang De Basanti film says koi country perfect nhi hoti hai use banana padhta hai so the responsibility lies in youngster’s hands too
Sun,Aug 5th 2012 3:34 AM
The young Indian wants India to be freed from Corruption,Inflation. If these things are eradicated no Indians will suffer from hunger, education. In these manner we all will be happy.

i strongly feel that what we need most is "Abuse Free India".i could have said corruption, literacy, any other most discussed issue.but hardly anybody talks about what happens(with even educated women)behind closed doors, abuser may be husband or lover,SHE should have the guts to protest and fight back n HE should open his eyes to see an India where females are respected as mothers, loved as sisters, passionately worshiped as Kali

what young India want is a series of change where we don't have to come across injustice by anyone where we are sure that if we stand against any injustices no harm is done where the rich and normal people don't have different laws to govern them all of us get the equal treatment as mentioned in constitution where talents are nourished the right person get to do what he can rather then giving it to someone with more power.
Fri,Aug 3rd 2012 9:47 PM
We demand a fair distribution of Economic Resources and Eradicating red tapism in Govt. Depatments."Fire catching huts" amidst the "Luxury Apartments" are NOT symbol of Unity in Diversity BUT we have gone wrong in distributing nation's wealth.
Fri,Aug 3rd 2012 11:30 AM
Young Indian generation want a peaceful, corruption free India and for that they want a visionary leader to represent them in the politics who can take decisions on there behalf. Young India is looking for development at the grass root level not just in cities

What young India is looking forward to is a corruption free India where you are really free in heart, speech and movement. The present day leaders should all quit enmasse and allow people who really want to serve people be elected.Let the young generation shape its own destiny other than their elders thoughts being imposed on them.
Fri,Aug 3rd 2012 9:21 AM
All young India wants is for its leaders to be true to their word and deliver on the promises of sustainable growth. Young Indians need to take charge of their destiny and not wait for some Anna Hazare to rally them seasonally.
Wed,Aug 1st 2012 5:44 AM
India needs rebooting! It needs to wake up from this dream of corruption and lethargy and go out there and grab the world.
Wed,Aug 1st 2012 5:41 AM
Public memory is short & they are not aware about many things. The middle class is busy earning their livelihood. As a young Indian I want people to be ‘jagrut’ i.e. AWARE for a better India. Problems can be solved only when people are awake & aware.
