On March 1, team BookChums attended the book launch of The Oath of the Vayuputras by Amish. It was held at Landmark in SGS Mall in Pune. Amish read from the first chapter of his latest book before he began the interaction with his readers. He said that this book took much longer than  he expected to complete it. It was published by Westland Press in 2013. The other two books from this trilogy include The Immortals of Meluha and The Secret of the Nagas.

The Oath of the Vayuputras is the last book from the Shiva trilogy. This story sets the pace for Lord Shiva to reach Panchavati, the capital of the Nagas where he encounters his ultimate nemesis. Amish described Shiva as the God of Music. Moreover his relationship with Parvati showed his belief in equality. A music album along with the book was launched with the book that pays a tribute to the revered deity and protagonist of the trilogy. It has compositions from some of the contemporary music stalwarts from India. Film director Karan Johar has procured the book rights and a movie version in on the cards, further details are forthcoming.

Amish added that going forward he would sketch stories from the world of mythology. He also revealed his appreciation and interest of mythology from all over the world. Team BookChums is excited about reading his book.
