Thank you for writing, folks. Here’s wishing all of you a very Happy Holi. Keep writing.

Hey. I’m looking for some novels on the Far-East. Please suggest. - Lata Dev, Lucknow

Thank you for writing. You can try When we were Orphans by Kazuo Ishiguro and The Garden of Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng. Both of these stories have great narration and plots.

Please suggest some novels that are based on conversations, fine arts and humor. I need to gift one such book to a friend. Thank you. – Madhuri Kashyap, Guwahati

To begin with there is a wonderful collection of such books. You could check Art Spiegelman’s Conversations out and some of Alexander McCall Smith’s novels such as the Corduroy Mansions series.

I want to read a book on the Mumbai blasts. Please guide. – Mohan, Nasik

Read Black Friday: The True Story of the Bombay Bomb Blasts by Hussain S. Zaidi. The writer is an investigative journalist and the book is a true account of what really happened.

Adios for now. Look forward to your email at
