JLF 2012 CONTEST
Welcome to yet another eventful month of contests. This time we are giving out copies of the many authors who were present at the Jaipur Literature Festival 2012.
A series of interesting questions and contests will be hosted on different platforms for users to participate in and win books.
Week 1: Check the poll questions out that will be held on our fb fan page to test how much people know about who’s who of the literary world.
One winner will be selected. The winner has to chip in the right answer on at least three days out of the five when questions will be posed. Two poll questions will be asked each day.
Week 2: A Forum discussion on the best story that people have come across will be conducted on the forum section of the website. Participants should write a short synopsis of their favourite story in less than 200 words. The participant should mention the name of the story and the author on the subject line. One lucky winner wins a copy of a book. Multiple entries are allowed.
Week 3: Facebook Contest
Identify the speakers in the videos that will be uploaded on FB fan page at 4 pm. The person who comes up with the maximum correct answers through the week will be declared the winner.
Week 4: Twitter Contest
Participants to tweet what they think of the controversial statements made by speakers at Jaipur Literature Festival.
Participants should follow BookChums on twitter.
Tweet should begin with @BookChums (tweet followed by) #JLF 2012.
Multiple entries allowed.
One lucky winner to be chosen by BookChums.

Basic Guidelines
Official rules:
- To Enter: To enter, submit the answers to the forum thread on www.bookchums.com during the Submission Period. Responses to the questionnaire must be in English. You may enter as many answers as you would like in the contest.
The BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST is not limited in scope or theme. Any participant may be deemed ineligible at the website administrator's discretion.
By submitting your entry, you agree to be bound by the Official Rules of the BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST, which are final and binding in all respects. - Contest Period. The BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST begins with a question being posted by the website administrator on the BookChums Forum page on the first and third Monday of a given month. The winners of the contest will be announced as soon as the contest closes at 6:00 PM on every second and forth Monday respectively by posting the names of the winners on the same forum thread as well as www.facebook.com/bookchums website.
- Eligibility. You must be 13 years or older on the date of submitting your entry to participate in the BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST. Void where prohibited by law.
Employees and independent contractors of AUSIB, Inc., OPTIMOS INC., OPTIMOS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, ENGAGE GLOBAL Inc., USINPAC, ENGAGE BRANDS, ENGAGE READER, BOOKCHUMS, ENGAGE INFORMATION, ENGAGE MEDICAL Inc., ENGAGE INFOMEDIA Inc., ENGAGE VOTER, ENGAGE INDIA, ENGAGE HOSPITALITY or their affiliates, and any other individual or entity involved in the development, promotion, or execution of the BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST and the immediate family members and/or household members of each are not eligible. -
To participate in the contest, you have to Like us on Facebook/and register on www.bookchums.com to participate in the FORUM contests.
- Disqualification. Any entry must be submitted by the authorized account holder of the natural person who is assigned to the email address by the internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible to assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple persons are not permitted to share the same email address. If a submission is received by a person that is not the authorized account holder of the submitted email address, the submission will be removed from the contest.
Any entry will be deemed ineligible if it is illegible, incomplete, fails to meet the required specifications, is received after the Submission Period, or for any other reason at the sole discretion of the Judging Panel. If your entry is rejected, it will be removed from the contest, and you will be notified of the disqualification by email. For more information, please put in your doubts and queries and the page admin will resolve your issues at the earliest possible. - Warranty of Exclusive Ownership. By entering the contest, you warrant that your entry is original, that you are the sole and exclusive owner and copyright holder of your entry, and that you have not granted rights to all or part of your entry to any other person or entity. You also warrant that your entry does not invade the right of privacy of any individual; does not infringe any trademark, trade name, trade secret, intellectual property right, or other common law or statutory right; nor does it contain any material that might be deemed offensive or obscene, or that otherwise violates any criminal prohibition or the personal or proprietary rights of any person or entity.
- All entries submitted shall become the sole property of bookchums.com when received and shall not be acknowledged or returned. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by bookchums.com. bookchums.com and its related network is the official time keeping device for the BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST. bookchums.com is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.
Disclosure. No donation, purchase, or obligation of any kind by the entrant is necessary to win. Any donation or purchase made by you will not increase your chances of winning. You have not yet won. - How the Winner Will Be Determined. There is one way to win BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST:
Entrants must become fans on BookChums Fan page. Entrants must be registered users on www.bookchums.com
Entrants must then submit their answers in the FORUM thread on www.bookchums.com Entrants must agree to the terms & conditions of the BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST.
Winning the BOOKCHUMS FORUMS CONTEST: The website administrator will decide the winner via a lucky draw of the answers. The name of the entrant will be announced on the facebook fan page of BookChums and in the forum as well. - Prizes.
Prize Winner, will win a Flipkart gift voucher or a book, as may be decided from time to time, without prior notice, by the website administrator. - Winner Notification/Prize Claims. The winner will be announced via a lucky draw of the answers posted on the FORUMS page on the second Monday of every month, the question for which was posted on the first Monday of such month and the fourth Monday of every month, the question for which was posted on the third Monday of such month. The thread under discussion will close upon the name of the winner being announced. In the event that a Winner is unable to accept a Prize, an alternate Winner will be selected. The Winner may be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release, and, where legal, a Publicity Release. All forms must be returned within 30 days of attempted prize notification, or the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
If the Prize is won by an eligible person who is not of legal age in the country of state of residence, the prize may, at bookchums.com's sole discretion, be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner, substituted for another prize of equal or lesser value.
Only one winner per household is permitted in the BOOKCHUMS FORUMS
